Welcome to my site. My research is concerned with the very earliest origins of planets, such as the one where we live.

Especially, I ask, ‘How did the first structures emerge from the dust and gas around young stars?’ and ‘What clues from the present space environment inform our understanding of the processes that must have occurred in the early Solar-system?’

My specialty lies in conduting experimental research, to bring theories in line with tangible physics. I have implemented a range of techniques, from Earth-based laboratories, to microgravity space-simulation facilities, and in space.
